***Shara Worden (My Brightest Diamond) had long been a fan of Dayna’s, and over the past year when it became apparent that their admiration was mutual, the idea for this seven inch single was born. Shara says: “In 2002 I first heard Dayna singing “Postcards from Downtown” at the old Living Room in New York’s Lower East Side only to find that I had tears on my face. I was overwhelmed by Dayna’s incredible voice, lyrical imagery, soulfulness and expressive playing. When I did finally meet her years later, I was so nervous because I was such a big fan. Thankfully she laughed at my jokes. Here, she renders my heart into pieces with her stripped down version of ‘Gone Away.’” 7” is limited to 1000 copies (hand numbered)
