***RUBIES are an extremely well connected female duo based in San Francisco. Lead singer SIMONE RUBI designed the artwork for FEIST’s´s critically acclaimed album The Reminder and attended American Grammy Awards in 2008 as her guest. The European release of the new single “I Feel Electric” has already got rave reviews by Artrocker, I-DJ, and Metro amongst others and has been played by Radio 1, BBC 6 and XFM. Their music has been described as bedroom disco crossed with danceable folk and comparisons can be drawn with both Kings of Convenience and Whitest Boy Alive which is perhaps no coincidence as ELRIK GLAMBECK BOE provides guest vocals on their debut album Explode From The Center (ucpoming). Includes the track “Stand In Line,” along with a remix and instruntal version by SHINICHI OSAWA), along with a PHIL MANLEY (TRANS AM) remix of the hit “I Feel Electric.” Full-length LP and CD to be released June 9th, 2009.
