***"SEAWEED blew everyone away when they played The Fest. They were the last band after an exhausting weekend, and yet it was still such a joyous, exuberant finale. The crowd was practically a who's who of folks from other bands, arm in arm, singing along to every song. After everyone had already given their all, here they were for the hurrah! Afterwards, more than one Seaweed dude said ‘so I hear you want to put out a record?,’ and they seemed genuinely taken aback. Ha. This is one of our favorite bands from the ‘90s... and I once drove 10 hours to see them play with Superchunk in...1989? I forget the date.
