"No one band compelled me to move to Athens more than Bar-B-Q Killers. After catching a glimpse of their furious minutes in Athens, GA: Inside/Out, I was pathologically convinced that I needed to move there. And that was 1988! Flash ahead to now, and here I am in a sizable amount of incredulous disbelief and vague psychedelic delirium proudly announcing to the world that Chunklet is beginning the rediscovery of Bar-B-Q Killers. This first record, called Part I: The Last Shit, is the band's very first studio session at legendary John Keane's studio in 1986. While one track ('Chester Drawers') was included on the impossible-to-find Some EP (on DRG, David Barbe and Alan Conner’s label), the other two tracks have never been officially released. Until now. Everything has been polished up real nice by Sir Barbe and Jason NeSmith, and for the first time in almost four decades, Bar-B-Q Killers are ready to be heard again. Artwork and photography is all from the band's archive, and the record includes an insert of a Q&A with the band in Glen Thrasher's mid-‘80s zine LowLife and a press release written by vocalist Laura Carter around the same time. Strap in. Let's have some fun and kick musical dick."
