***Born in 2023, Boyswitch is a four-piece, two spirit punk band on Huichin Ohlone land (aka Oakland, California). Fusing punk, post-punk, grunge, and sometimes ska, Boyswitch is here to make you gay and shake up the world. With a sold out first show in January 2024, the band has been busy performing, writing and recording music. Boyswitch has shared the stage with iconic bands like Trap Girl, Destroy Boys, Commando, and Fatale. You may have seen them play sold out shows at Thee Stork Club and the Independent, or witnessed their queer debauchery on the live music stage at Folsom Street Fair. This unapologetically transgender band is making waves in the Bay Area, Los Angeles, and is gearing up for recording in the new year.Queer Without Fear features six songs that will get you dancing, moshing, and feeling sexy. The songs were recorded and produced in Oakland, California by Elke Gentile. The songs aim to be outside of the norm and bring out the true raw experiences of trans two spirit T-boys surviving on Huichin Ohlone land. The vinyl also features an unreleased version of “T-Boy”.The band fuses high energy on stage and paired with the power of the lyrics, calls everyone in for movement in their bodies. Some of the songs are prayer songs, and others about living as a queer person in society without fear. This project is a prayer to the community, trans youth, and to loved ones.
