***A 30th anniversary re-release of the 1981 7-inch from St. Louis power pop group DEAR JOHN. The band only lasted a couple of years, but they managed to release on regionally acclaimed 7-inch on their own A.K.A. records. The single has been a tough find for collectors, BDR found out why when the band’s ROBERT KUHLMANN informed them that he found half of the original pressing in storage during a visit to his mother’s house. These remaining copies (350 total) are packaged in new sleeves (only a small number of sleeves were printed the first time around) featuring notes and other ephemera.
