***Geronimo’s history and prehistory span three decades. Founded in 2004 by Moises Ruiz (drums) & W. T. Nelson (electronics / hollers), Anthony Francoso (bass) joined the group in 2006. All three were former conspirators in the cacophonous ’90s Angeleno five-piece: Sleestak.Along with participation in other significant ’90s projects such as Loser, Slowrider, Man Is The Bastard and Bastard Noise—Geronimo also involves the founding of a synth brand. When Ruiz and Nelson took to the road in 2005, an appearance in Japan resulted in some mortally wounded test-kit knobbed by Nelson. The repair & rework became the basis of Trogotronic’s very first synth soon after.Preceded by releases from satellite solo projects Emperor of the North and TTT, Daft Alliance welcomes Geronimo to the imprint in 2025 with Mother Earth Father Sky. Notably Mother Earth Father Sky is only Geronimo’s tertiary studio full-length release in 21 years. Like the first two, MEFS is a scathing teardown of Western Culture, not that it needs any help at this point. As with their first two releases, released on the Three One G label, MEFS leads with an epic: “Canons of Western Civilization” is performed by an ensemble of 11 players, featuring Jorge Martin of Sleestak and Spastic Colon, Caxo and Joe Galarza of Aztlan Underground / Unearthed, the incomparable Ego Plum, and Grammy-winning multi-instrumentalist Ulises Bella of Ozomatli, all of whom deftly forge the moving parts into the last music on Earth. After recovery, three vital tracks follow—featuring Usen Gandara (Sleestak) and Carlos Zepeda (Slowrider...

***Daft Alliance is proud to announce the first proper release of Curse of the Birthmark’s 18 yr old self titled debut. This album, never “officially” released till now, was Curse of the Birthmark’s first recording that they gave away and sold in CDR format. Everything was homemade - from the recording in the practice space and house bathroom, to duplicating the cdrs and silkscreening the cobblestone tile cover directly onto jewel cases that revealed the band name letters on the insert in the unpainted tiles. The production and layout have been enhanced by Daft Alliance while remaining true to the original sound and vision, and includes a not-so-hidden bonus track- "alibis." Unleashing nine furious, untamed songs — new classics all — in a little under 20 minutes, Curse of the Birthmark is an ear-scorching gift to the listener. Curse of the Birthmark performed nationally in the early-to-mid ‘00s. In 2005 Keyboard player Eric Hunt was replaced by Weasel Walter. Eric Park and Simon Phillips went on to form Fuckwolf who are currently working on material for a new record. Pressed on 180 gram vinyl in a limited edition of 500. “One of the best grimy alienating secret gems of San Francisco music, Curse of the Birthmark is finally getting a proper release, and on a great label to boot. Fantastic, bombastic and repulsive, live in the mid-aughts — a broken amp, the cheapest keyboard and a kit that only a mother could love have produced one of the...
